Description

As the Head of Electricity, you will play a pivotal role in managing our electricity portfolio, ensuring the efficient trading and balancing of electricity, and overseeing all related operations.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimise our electricity supply, maximise profitability, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Electricity Trading:

Develop and execute trading strategies to optimise electricity procurement and sales.
Monitor market trends and prices to make informed trading decisions.
Manage relationships with market participants, including suppliers, traders, and regulators.
Analyse market data and forecast future market conditions

Portfolio Management:

Oversee the management of the electricity portfolio to ensure optimal balance and risk management.
Develop and implement hedging strategies to mitigate risk.
Monitor and report on the performance of the electricity portfolio.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and market requirements.

Electricity Balancing:

Ensure the accurate and timely balancing of electricity supply and demand.
Coordinate with grid operators and other stakeholders to manage imbalances.
Implement strategies to minimise imbalance costs.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in electricity trading, portfolio management, and balancing.
Strong knowledge of electricity markets, trading platforms, and regulatory frameworks.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful trading and risk management strategies.
Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay:
£30,180.76-£40,245.16 per year
