Description

We are seeking to recruit a keen and enthusiastic Full-Time Band 6 Junior Sister with an RSCN qualification in the Children's Ambulatory Care and Outpatient Unit.

We are a very friendly team who are passionate about providing excellent care for Children and Young people and their families.


To work clinically providing visible leadership, direction, co-ordination and forward planning of Outpatient (OPD) services within the Frimley Health Children's Ambulatory Care & Outpatient nursing team.


You will be expected to demonstrate high standards, displaying a variety of expert clinical competence, role modelling clear professional and organisational values in leading OPD areas, additionally managing service requirements and supporting the Senior team.


In conjunction with Practice Development, you will assess and actively support the Registered Nurses and Care Support Workers to practice competently and develop within their roles to ensure a high standard of care and patient experience are maintained in line with the Frimley Health Strategy, vision and Values.

  • To provide Band 6 cover for a 7day service at all Frimley Health Outpatient locations as required, including additional offsite locations, coordinating capacity and flow within the departments.
  • To deputise for Matron in their absence, maintaining an organised and structured workforce.
  • To behave in a manner as laid down in the NMC Code of ProfessionalConduct and RN competencies.
  • To be a dynamic, enthusiastic, highly motivated, visible, professional and clinical role model for others.
