Overview:


hVIVO is currently seeking a motivated, versatile and forward thinking Pharmacy Assistant to join the FluCamp team to work accross our sites in Whitechapel & Canary Wharf
.


hVIVO conducts human challenge clinical trials.

The end goal of our clinical trials is to potentially eradicate common illnesses like the common cold and flu completely - or at least make treatment of them as easy and effective as possible.

Volunteers are central to the work that we do. Our studies focus on testing new treatments on real people, in a safe, controlled, clinical environment


You will work in a team of Pharmacy Assistants and our Pharmacist, to cover shifts in our clinical trials units participating in the preparation, return and dispensing of investigational products for Clinical Trial participants.

Our sites require cover across a variety of shifts Monday-Sunday, day and night shifts.

Shifts in the unit include the following:


You will be expected to commit to at least one shift a week and we can offer a maximum of three shifts currently.

You will also be required to commit to a two week, full-time training period.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the preparation and dispensing of investigational products for Clinical Trial participants in accordance with approved protocols and procedures.
  • Experience in Asceptic techniques
  • Ensure appropriate accountability and appropriate IMP storage conditions to support service delivery.
  • Ensure working within hVIVO quality systems and standard operating procedures which are maintained in accordance with principles of GCP.
  • Participate in clinical and facility audits in order to maintain department standards
  • To proactively escalate communications to resolve and improve any workflow issues to ensure all team members are suitably informed.
  • To actively participate in team meetings.
  • To ensure efficient, safe work processes are in place to maintain patient safety.

Skills & Experiences:

  • Experience in the handling, preparation and dispensing of drugs in different formulations
  • Excellent communicator
  • Knowledge of ICH GCP/FDA regulations is desireable
  • A GMP background is preferred
  • Experience in clinical research is a plus
