£70.00 to £90.00 Per DayAs the exclusive recruitment partner of the Cornwall Association of Primary Heads, Opus Education are currently working with a number of Nurseries, Primary schools and SEN schools in the Falmouth and Penryn areas who are looking to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants/ SEN Support Workers. The schools cater for children aged 3 -16 who have special needs, are unable to cope in mainstream settings or are at risk of exclusion


Main Purpose of the job:


To take a pro-active role supporting the educational, social and physical needs of pupils; to support the curriculum and the school through the provision of assistance to the teacher in the practical organisation and delivery of class activities.

To meet theneeds of pupils who have moderate to severe physical, learning and complex behavioural difficulties by working with them in small groups or on a one to one basis.

A passion for helping children who face challenges in education
Experience / knowledge of traditional SEN - ADHD, ASC,ASD, MLD, PMLD, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, Dyslexia, 1:1 work
Have a caring, patient, and empathetic personality and be confident when dealing with challenging behaviour
