Our client in the construction industry is looking to recruit a Finance Manager who could grow into a Finance Controller role.


As the Finance Manager or Finance Controller your duties will be:

  • Working with Commercial and Contracts Management
  • Monthly management accounts
  • Staff training / development
  • Yearend accounts, Budgetary control, Statutory accounts
  • Internal audit and compliance
  • Fixed Assets Accounting
  • Payroll in Construction
  • Assist with the adherence to and development of policies and processes for the financial reporting, general accounting and reporting, company accounts auditing, accounts payable, budgetary plans, project accruals, purchase order and sales order management,invoice processing, payroll, expenses management, compliance with financial and regulatory control for accounting, revenue accounting, profit and loss reporting etc...
  • Ensure compliance with relevant government and financial legislation
  • Provide support to Finance & Accounting staff accounts payable clerks, accounts clerks, transport administrators and payroll administration.
  • Support the Director's accounting to develop processes to ensure the accurate, preauthorised and timely payment of supplier invoices and receipt of credit notes
  • Interface with 3rd party auditors for audit compliance
  • Preparation of yearend financial statements with supporting notes using appropriates accounting standards.
  • Interface with tax advisors to assist in preparation of yearend tax returns
  • Management of asset financing
  • Providing the information to the agents for Public Liability and other Insurances renewals
  • Preparing monthly Management Accounts and WIP schedules in liaison with Commercial Manager
  • Preparation of the monthly reports pack for the board of Directors
  • Running, maintenance and update of Business forecasting model
  • Preparation of yearly budgets for the group of companies
  • Administration, development and improvements of accounting system
  • Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and making decision on payment runs
  • Supervising Accounts Payable and Credit Control
Qualified ACCA or CIMA, and have 5 -10 years experience within the Construction industry working in a similar role.

Experience of using construction ERP software

Able to work in an office based role ( Free parking on site)
