Join our team as a Through Life Support (TLS) Lead and have a real impact working in an organisation at the heart of national defence.


You will be leading multi-skilled professionals, guiding, and directing cost effective product support solutions, which includes the management of technical risk, improving operational resilience, and delivering innovations and capabilities, that support those who protect the UK, our allies, and our interests.


The TLS Lead role is vital in the design, development, implementation into service, upkeep, update and upgrade of equipment/products and their cost affordable support solutions through-life.

This involves the governance, continual improvement, and planning of Integrated Logistics Support/Integrated Product Support (ILS/IPS) elements across the business.


A key part of the role is ensuring that equipment/product support packages/arrangements are fit for purpose, cost affordable and deliver to the customer's operational availability requirements, by ensuring logistic support services and resources are positioned optimally in the forward and depth maintenance organisations.


Please note that these roles are based in our offices in Bristol and in-office attendance will be expected as required.

Responsibilities

  • Guide the business in setting supportability requirements and contractual arrangements, by collaborating with cross functional colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
  • Design and governance of ILS/IPS programmes of work, across the ILS Elements, for establishing the approach in how Logistic Support Analysis/Supportability Analysis (LSA/SA) tasks will be conducted through life.
  • Influence equipment/product; availability, reliability, maintainability and sustainability delivery and targets.
  • Validation of Supportability Case bodies of evidence, for providing confidence to customer(s), in our approach for meeting their requirements and targets.
  • Quality control of the ILS deliverables against the set equipment/product support policy directive.
  • Manage technical information and the configuration management of technical documentation.
  • Lead obsolescence and asset management systems and governance of 'Get Well' and 'Stay Well' TLS delivery and processes.

Person specification

  • Experience of working in at least one of the following fields: ILS/IPS, engineering, supportability, or operational delivery.
  • Evidence of managing and leading support approaches and asset lifecycle management.
  • Experience in delivering continuous improvement activities and reducing whole life cost expenditure by leading teams through change and support design reviews.
  • Proven track record in leading, managing, and guiding TLS teams, which may consist of a diverse group of individuals from different function/career experience backgrounds.
  • Experience of support stakeholder management and building strong customer relationships.

Salary:
£52,500.00-£57,500.00 per year
