This is an exciting opportunity to join
Equation, Nottinghamshire. Equation is an award-winning and innovative charity dedicated to preventing and responding to domestic abuse.

The Safe Accommodation IDVA (Male Survivors) will be responsible for supporting men and self-identifying men living in Nottinghamshire (County South and County North) who are experiencing domestic violence and abuse by:

  • Supporting men experiencing domestic violence and abuse to access safe accommodation, make long term positive and sustainable changes in their lives and to recover from the harm of domestic violence and abuse.
  • Developing and establishing support pathways between Equation's Men's Service and housing providers including district and borough council housing teams in Ashfield, Broxtowe, Gedling, Rushcliffe, Bassetlaw, Mansfield and Newark and Sherwood.
  • Providing domestic abuse advice and support to district and borough council housing teams in Ashfield, Broxtowe, Gedling, Rushcliffe, Bassetlaw, Mansfield and Newark and Sherwood to aid decision making in relation to male survivors.
  • Supporting the delivery of the housing and homelessness elements of the Domestic Abuse Act 202
  • Ensuring financial barriers of male survivors experiencing domestic violence and abuse accessing safe accommodation are addressed through the appropriate use of flexible funding.
  • Engaging and consulting with local communities to ensure service provision is accessible, develop and build networks to improve referral pathways and promote shared learning.
  • Providing a highquality support service to the male survivors experiencing domestic violence and abuse.

Role Details
Working hours: 37 hours, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm

Working terms:
Fixed term until 31st March 2025, with a view to making permanent funding dependant


Salary:
Between £21,872 - £24,287 per annum depending on qualifications (training will be provided)
