About Oxford Royale Academy:

Oxford Royale Academy is an award-winning British company with a real passion for international education.

Each year our team works harder to compile stimulating and rewarding programmes for all ages, bringing together outstanding Teachers, energetic Counsellors, brilliant Guest Speakers and professional support staff.

Overview:

As a Junior Dean, you will work collaboratively with other Junior Deans (commonly a team of 3) to support the Programme Director in ensuring the overall success of an elite summer programme.

The focus of the role is on the implementation of a busy activity timetable made up of activities and events outside the classroom, which you will achieve through leading a team of Counsellors with thorough and professional planning.

This role would suit a natural leader and communicator who is highly organised, self motivated and resilient.

The role involves a large degree of planning as well as the need for clear delegation and communication with your team.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Safety:

  • Oversee the implementation of safety measures and ensure adherence to safeguarding policies throughout the program.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to any safety or welfare concerns, prioritising the wellbeing of all participants.
  • Implement student supervision processes accurately and efficiently.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe environment for both students and staff members through diligence, organisation and respect for all.

Representing Oxford Royale:

  • Uphold the company's reputation by embodying its values when interacting with students, the staff body and all third parties including members of the public.
  • Collaborate with the host venue conference team, for example the porters or conference office with respect and speed of response.

Student Experience:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the whole twoweek timetable and develop an encyclopaedic knowledge of the Oxford Royale activity options and events.
  • Implement with excellence all activities, events and coach excursions using Oxford Royale's planning methods and expectations regarding the quality of student experience. Plan and prepare all activities with detail and accuracy, use and adapt the risk assessments and communicate the plans with clarity to the team.
  • Strive for the highest quality of service to exceed the students' high expectations.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Collaborate with the Programme Coordinator and Programme Director daily to ensure that there is a regular flow of information through all staff members. Regularly brief the Programme Director on what actions have been taken and what the plans are going forward.
  • Lead and mentor Counsellors, providing support in managing the students and clarity over daily duties, responsibilities and areas on which to develop.
  • Provide effective leadership in resolving challenges with a professional and efficient approach.

Administration, Systems and Compliance:

  • Manage day to day payments and receipts.
  • Complete risk assessments and event planning paperwork.
  • Manage daily student registers.
  • Write reports on all programme incidents.

Position Details:

  • Working hours will be approximately 50 per week across 6 days. This includes morning, afternoon, and night shifts as assigned by Campus Management.

  • Mandatory training will take place during the week before student arrivals.
