Hours of work:
Working 22.5 hours per week, flexibility with actual working hours and can offer term time only on request.


Salary range:
£22,500- £23,500 full time equivalent, based on 22.5 hours per week it equates to £13,500 - £14,100. Term time actual salary calculated on request.


Holidays:

Annual holiday entitlement is 25 days plus 8 days in lieu of bank holiday entitlement pro rata for part time.

Up to 5 days of holiday must be saved toward the Christmas and New Year closure. Term time only holidays will differ to what is stated.


Role description


The role of Homestay Recruiter (HR) is a self-motivated, sociable, and friendly individual, who will support Kings in increasing their pool of host families.


To complete all aspects of the recruitment of host families from the advertisement through to the host visit and completion of the required documentation.


To ensure all elements of compliance regarding National Minimum Standards for Boarding Schools (NMS) and the Ofsted Common Assessment Framework are met.

The HR reports to the Head of Boarding working closely with the Bursar/College Services Manager and Designated Safeguarding Lead


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leading in all areas of recruitment of host families, creating the content, sourcing the recruitment providers, and managing the responses and next actions.
  • Logging all enquiries and having a system in place for response and activity
  • Arranging appointments to meet with prospective hosts within a 48hour turnaround.
  • Completing the required regulatory framework documentation with the prospective hosts promptly and in a way the host understands and feels most comfortable.
  • Updating the homestay Single Central Record with all records of the host family.
  • Setting all new host families onto the database ready to house Kings students.
  • To support the accommodation department with ongoing host family compliance updates and regular host visits.

Professional skills:


  • Strong understanding of customer service
  • Knowledge and competence in advertising and recruiting.
  • Confident on the phone with new, existing, and old host families
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proactive in identifying next actions.
  • Strong administrative skills and use of Microsoft excel, word and teams.
  • Evidence of good communication skills both verbal and in writing
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise workload

Desirable

  • Previous experience within education
  • Previous experience with an accommodation setting
  • A good understanding of the recruitment of host families through the National Minimum Standards of boarding school framework

Type of contract:
Fixed Term 6 months
