Overview:
We are seeking a Sales Director

  • UK to join our growing team

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Position Summary


As part of the UK Senior leadership team, the Sales director will be responsible for developing tactics, operational plans and processes to implement the organizational sales strategy, drive revenue growth and accomplish financial objectives.


You will establish and implement processes, tools and structures to support the sales operations and have responsibility for two teams: Selling SaaS and implementation to b2b customers.


Oversees goal setting for departmental and group levels of the sales organization and uses data and technology to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance.


Implements methods and systems to effectively analyze and monitor the industry, business environment, and competitors and expand the customer base.

Uses market and customer insights to collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and suggest new products.

Builds effective sales and support teams with recruiting, mentoring, and development programs. May personally participate in or negotiate strategic or high-value sales. Typically reports to top management.


A Day in the Life- Provides excellent leadership, high degree of credibility, sales expertise and time management- Achieve and exceed assigned sales quotas through new business acquisition and cross-selling- Effective prioritization, sales activity, pipeline, and account management- Create and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective clients- Design, monitor and optimize territory coverage- Effective motivator and coach to sales approach and best practices- Ensure employee resources, including process and technology, are optimized to enable improved individual and team performance- Monitor, drive, and report on KPIs (includes but not limited to sales, dials, talk time, conversions, opportunities, demos, and win/loss, CRM usage), ensuring that processes are consistently followed and deliver the expected outcomes- Track progress to goals focus on employee growth, and development of a high performing, engaged team- Assess individual capability and develop employees to the next level of performance for current and future roles- Scale business as growth and opportunity dictate; create business plans and ROI studies as needed to support the business growth- Develop and be an example of the company's culture- Hold some quota for particularly high visibility customers- Build processes, cadence, reporting, dashboards from scratch- Build confidence in team- Influence team structure, reward, and focus and build capability within the team- Influence product investment roadmap and service support- Balance short term results along with medium and longer-term capability/capacity investment plans- Be an integral part of the management team covering all disciplines


We are looking for someone who brings...

Experience:


  • Fouryear college degree from an accredited institution; master's in business administration (MBA) or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 510+ years of sales or sales management experience in a businesstobusiness sales environment
  • Prior experience in a leadership role with demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets.
  • Has had good quality b2b sales training and understanding of complex selling.
  • Has experience of a sales director or in a large sales team management/leadership role.

The ideal Person:


The Sales Director will be a classically trained professional who understands the importance of sales processes and structures and will be capable of building from scratch as these are not in place now.


The Director will have their own client base and targets as well as leading the staff in the sales function, so managing all customers and sales targets.


The Director will be a self-starter who initiates action, sets high standards for themselves and others and inspires others to do the same.
