Description

The role reports to A/P Christopher Toepfer who has developed technologies leveraging induced pluripotent stem cells and CRISPR/Cas-9 genome engineering to model cardiovascular disease in the dish.

You will be actively involved in induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) culture and maintenance.

As the laboratory focuses on stem cell characterisation of inherited cardiomyopathies, the role will encompass differentiation of stem cell lineages to cardiomyocytes for functional characterisation of Friedrich's Ataxia cardiomyopathy.

The project will develop 3D cellular models of disease incorporating multiple cell types.


This is a full time appointment on a fixed term contract for 3 years funded by the Christina Foundation and CureFA/FARA.
