£55,000 - £60,000 + benefits

The Company
A Finance Business Partner is sought by a global leader within the Media marketplace.

This dynamic, entrepreneurial and rapidly growing business supports a broad portfolio operates across 4 continents producing market leading content digital platforms.

Operatingin advertising, sponsorship and subscription platforms, the group has enjoyed exponential growth through innovative design, leading edge technology and new channels to market over the past decade.

As the result of a strategic expansion programme, a new high-profileopportunity exists for a recently qualified accountant, to step into a Finance Business Partner role supporting a key business division.


Key Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner

  • Be a key member of divisional management team in understanding the financial results and suite of business KPIs and using them to play a leading role in driving performance and maximizing opportunities across the whole P&L
  • Present lookback and forecast analysis to management on a weekly and monthly basis during performance reviews, including performance KPI's
  • Deliver monthly financial reviews to senior management, analysing financial performance against benchmarks and highlighting risks, opportunities and insights
  • Deliver the regional annual budgets for all elements of the divisional P&L (including obtaining buyin from nonfinance teams on the forecast inputs and KPIs that drive financial outputs)
  • Evaluate new opportunities and contracts, including financial modelling in alignment with best practice from the central financial modelling team
  • Work closely with Regional Finance teams in order to drive continuous improvements in the delivery of finance services to key finance/other management stakeholders impacting revenue including cashflow management, provision of monthly management accounts(including balance sheet), purchase order creation and approval, advanced financial modelling and reporting support where required

Skills & Attributes of the Financial Analyst

  • Qualified accountant (ideally ACA from a Big 4 / Top 10 or CIMA from a fastpaced global group)
  • Advanced Excel skills, with demonstrable speed in using complex spreadsheets
  • Ability to develop relationships and work closely with both financial and nonfinancial staff
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Team player mindset with the ability to work cohesively and effectively with a range of colleagues
  • Experience or understanding of digital advertising revenue models and jargon would be useful
  • The business is very fast paced and requires someone to work to tight deadlines and with a high degree of accuracy as a commercial financial analyst
  • Ambitious and driven to provide clear and concise analysis and patterns
