PROGRAMME MANAGER OPPORTUNITY WITH INDUSTRY LEADING ELECTRONICS COMPANY
My client is a leading multinational brand in the field of electronics, communications, defence and security. The company deals with a range of businesses from private companies to government organisations and local authorities.
Due to the company's ongoingcontracts an opportunity has arisen for a versatile Programme Manager / Senior Project Manager to join the business to oversee various production programmes.
In this role, you will be expected to assist with the bid/scoping phase and then take responsibility for all aspects of the programme from, Project initiation to final acceptance and project closure.
This is also a standalone position where you will be liaising with several internal stakeholders including Sales, Contracts, Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Customer Services, Quality and Accounting departments within the Company.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Programme Management of Projects/Programmes allocated by Head of Programmes.
- Liaison with customers to ensure the finished product meets the customer requirements.
- Identification of areas at risk in programme execution and implementation of measures to reduce these.
- Reporting of general progress and financial status of programmes managed on a monthly basis.
- Prepare financial data in an agreed format for presentation on a monthly basis to the senior members of staff.
- Export compliance for equipment being delivered in accordance with appropriate guidelines
Experience required for the role also include:
- A good knowledge of Project Manager techniques and processes
- HND or degree level within Project management or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years practical experience within a Project Management environment
- Experience of running Projects from conception, through implementation to closure
- Software development Project Management experience is highly desirable
- Willingness to occasionally travel to visit Customer sites in the UK or overseas
- Programme scheduling, Report writing, Risk Mitigation with a Financially and Commercially astute mindset
