Background:
Led by racing legend Michael Andretti, the team fields multiple entries in INDYCAR, INDY NXT, IMSA and Formula E. The global racing enterprise boasts over 250 race wins, four INDYCAR Series championships, five INDY NXT titles, one Indy Pro 2000 and one USF2000 championship, and has captured victory five times at the famed Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The team is now looking to expand into the pinnacle of motorsport through our Andretti Cadillac Team.

Job description:
We have an opportunity for an Aero Technical Buyer to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing components, parts, and materials for the manufacturing of Aero Production products. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, design teams, technicians, and engineers to ensure the quality and timely delivery of the purchased goods. Principal Accountabilities:

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and maintain positive relationships with existing ones.
• Procure parts and materials for all Aero Production departments.
• Analyze market trends and prices to ensure the competitiveness of purchased goods.
• Collaborate with design teams and engineers to determine material specifications and requirements.
• Ensure the prompt delivery of purchased goods within allocated costs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure punctual delivery.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding any issues related to supplier quality, delivery, or pricing.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a technical buying role within a comparable automotive sector.
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Experience in collaborating with international suppliers and global sourcing is advantageous.
• Capable of fulfilling duties promptly with minimal errors.
• Effective communication with key stakeholders/directors.
• Clear and succinct communication, verbally and via email.
