    Job Title: Occupational Therapist for Post-COVID Assessment Service


    An exceptional opportunity is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist to become a valuable member of the Post-COVID multidisciplinary Team. This role involves providing high-quality healthcare services to patients dealing with post-COVID syndrome in the Norfolk and Waveney area.

    Main Responsibilities:


    • Conduct occupational therapy assessments and provide support to patients with post-COVID syndrome according to guidelines.
    • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver evidence-based patient care.
    • Coordinate and evaluate care plans for post-COVID patients in the community.
    • Contribute to the development of services and work closely with MDT teams to ensure a seamless patient pathway.
    • Work independently within your scope of practice under the guidance of the Team Lead.
    • Promote advancements in patient care and engage with healthcare professionals for modernizing care delivery.

    Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:


    Essential

    • Effective teamwork skills
    • Commitment to enhancing clinical practice
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and initiative
    • Proficient in IT
    • Understanding of post-COVID syndrome symptoms

    Desirable

    • Familiarity with Primary, Community, and Secondary care settings within the NHS
    • Experience with SystmOne software
    • Triage experience

    Qualifications:


    Essential

    • HCPC registration
    • Clinical training
    • Occupational Therapy degree or equivalent

    Desirable

    • Post Graduate education in a relevant area

    Experience:


    Essential

    • NHS experience at a relevant level
    • Leadership experience
    • Diverse clinical experience, particularly in supporting patient mental wellbeing

    Desirable

    • Familiarity with NHS care settings

    Communication:


    Essential

    • Experience in effectively communicating with patients and carers
    • Empathy, sensitivity, and effective communication skills

    Desirable

    • Advanced communication skills and experience in sensitive discussions
    • Conducting group education and exercise sessions
    • Virtual intervention experience

    Personal and People Development:


    Essential

    • Supporting staff and students in setting development goals
    • Providing training and education to patients and professionals

    Desirable

    • Training in performance appraisals
    • Student assessor training
