Detailed job description and main responsibilities


Working as a member of the vascular speciality, the post holder will provide a combination of nursing support, wound management, outpatient clinic management, administration and audit duties in the delivery of services for patients with venous disease, aneurysmal disease and peripheral arterial disease.


The post holder will be based at NUH QMC Campus and City Campus with the expectation of travelling to SFH when required.

Training and Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Holds a foundation degree in Nursing Associate
  • Registered to practice with the NMC
  • Experience of the NHS in an acute setting
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programmes, product Excel spreadsheets and databases
  • Experience working with all levels of the Multi-Disciplinary Team
  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn
Desirable criteria

  • Experience of medical terminology and experience in a health and social care environment would be beneficial
  • Background knowledge of peripheral arterial disease, aneurysmal disease and wound dressing
  • An understanding of the outpatient system including referral, booking and outcoming
