    Production Manager

    Responsibilities:
    • Lead and manage the fabrication department, overseeing all fabrication operations and ensuring the completion of projects within set timelines and budgetary constraints
    • Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives for the fabrication department, aligning them with company goals and objectives
    • Coordinate and assign tasks to fabrication staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards
    • Manage fabrication schedules and prioritise projects to meet customer requirements and maximize production efficiency
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as design, engineering, and production, to ensure seamless integration of fabrication work into overall project execution
    • Monitor and inspect fabricated products to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and industry standards
    • Implement and enforce safety policies and protocols to maintain a safe working environment and minimise accidents or incidents
    • Procure necessary equipment, materials, and supplies for fabrication projects, ensuring optimal inventory levels and cost-effectiveness
    • Oversee the maintenance and repair of fabrication equipment, coordinating with the maintenance team as needed
    • Maintain accurate documentation of fabrication processes, including work orders, production reports, quality control records, and inventory management

    Requirements:
    • Proven experience as a Fabrication Manager or in a similar role
    • Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, techniques, and materials
    • Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise a team of fabrication professionals
    • Exceptional organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions to address issues and ensure project completion
    • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and suppliers
    • Proficient in using fabrication software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools
    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred
    • Ideally started in a fabrication Apprenticeship
