It is a fantastic time to be joining Animal Trust as we continue to expand our services. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Client Services Team at Dewsbury.

Working alongside a dedicated nursing team, you will deliver excellent customer service and provide a friendly, professional face for the company.

Our surgeries are fast-paced and we pride ourselves on efficiency.


To be successful in this role you'll have previous experience of working in a customer-facing environment, have excellent communication skills, a passion for animals and the ability to build on the strong teamwork already in place.


Common Duties Include

  • Welcoming clients and their pets for appointments and maintaining a compassionate and professional attitude at all times
  • Answering telephone calls/queries from clients
  • Handling medication prepared by the veterinary surgeon and handing to clients
  • Working within a team (and at times alone) to ensure the surgery's reception, waiting area and consultation rooms are maintained to a high standard of clinical cleanliness
  • Dealing with stressed or upset clients and connecting them to the appropriate teams where required
  • Taking payments, registering new clients and addressing client concerns
  • Organisation and restocking of the practice where required
  • Complying with all health and safety procedures
  • Complying with data protection legislation to ensure client and patient confidentiality is maintained at all times

Core Skills

  • Enthusiastic and motivated to provide a high level of customer service, while taking on a confident attitude
  • Strong organisation skills, open, honest and trustworthy
  • Pleasant manner, compassionate towards clients and pets
  • Strong communicator and able to confidently communicate with clients and staff of all levels (Vet Nurses, Vets and Directors)
  • IT Literature and a fast learner
  • Takes direction and can work from own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fastpaced environment
  • Experience of a client/customerfacing role in a fastpaced environment essential
  • Willing to work unsociable hours including evenings, weekends and bank holidays

Job particulars

  • 35 or 40 hours per week
  • Shifts between 7.45am to 7pm covering Monday to Saturday
- £9.90/hour
