A well-established client in the commercial construction sector is seeking to hire a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team. They specialize in projects with values of up to £2 Million at prestigious locations like Gatwick Airport, major London stations, and their surroundings.

Duties of the Quantity Surveyor:

• Liaising with suppliers to forecast and price project materials.
• Preparing tender costs covering materials, labor, and time, ensuring sufficient budget for variations.
• Compiling documentation for tenders and contracts through collaboration with clients and architects.
• Establishing a network of contractors and subcontractors for ongoing projects.
• Staying in contact with clients and suppliers to manage changes in design and construction tasks.
• Conducting risk and value management to anticipate construction expenses.
• Measuring and evaluating site progress and value of work completed.
• Reviewing bills and coordinating payments.
• Collaborating closely with other construction professionals such as site managers, project managers, and workers on the ground.

Requirements of the Quantity Surveyor:

• Proficiency in NEC Contracts
• Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the commercial sector
• Knowledge of construction technology, processes, materials, and legal aspects
• Solid numerical skills
• Outstanding communication abilities
• Valid driver's license
