We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated person who is open to learning new skills to join our Network Information and Compliance Team as a Technical Assistant.


Our service


The Network Information and Compliance Team sits within Network Strategy (Highways) and is tasked with co-ordination of works and ensuring undertakers work within the highway, is compliant with the relevant legislation and/or code of practice, that all requests for network information, Con29 searches and correspondence are responded to within the agreed timescales.


The role


As our Technical Assistant you will be tasked with ensuring undertakers work within the highway and the associated permitting/noticing, is compliant with the relevant legislation and/or code of practice, that all requests for network information, apparatus enquiries, section 50/171 licences and correspondence, are responded to within the agreed timescales and that all associated fees and fines are levied in a timely and accurate manner.

What we are looking for someone who is:

  • open to learning and developing their knowledge and skills;
- conscientious, customer focused and organised, and can work to agreed targets;
- has great communication skills, both verbal and written;
- can research, analyse and interpret information as well as think on your feet and problem solve.

If you have these then we'd love to hear from you.


Ideally, we are looking for someone who can map read & have ICT literacy, however this is not essential as training will be provided.

We are more interested in those who have a great willingness to learn.
