We are looking for a Credit Controller (M/F/d), based in London.Your Team
At AGCS, our Finance Operations team maintains optimal receivable levels by using automated processes, providing full transparency and receivable risk assessments.
Our experts produce valuable financial insights for the company and help to protect its assets.The Impact You Will Have
Based in London, you will be part of a diverse team that handles large brokers, international insurance programs, facultative reinsurance, captives, reporting and cash settlement.
Your responsibilities include the handling of all accounting topics concerning settlement with broker or reinsurer as well as credit control activities i.e.
receivables management, reporting and ad hoc tasks.Some of your specific responsibilities could include
- Be responsible of the upkeep of a specific account portfolio ensuring that cash is allocated in a timely manner
- Ensure that all accounts receivable / payables are settled as per agreed terms of settlement and booked correctly. This includes the coordination, clarification and reconciliation of all items on our books.
- Resolving and raising queries with counterparties and externally with operations. Underwriting and claims
- Establish and maintain an abeyance system and recommend write offs where applicable
- Attend biweekly standup meetings to discuss ideas and team progress
- Execute settlements with brokers and reinsurers particularly the control of outstanding balances of AGCS
- Work collaboratively with other Functional areas (Operations, Underwriting, Claims) in establishing processes, booking flows and accuracy completeness controls.
- Maintain a collaborative relationship with external brokers. Provide professional and timely customer service to internal and external customers
What You'll Bring to the Role
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting
- 35 years of experience in accounting and credit control practice in an international environment. Ideally experience in insurance accounting
- Analytical skills and the ability to understand and interpret complex data and processes
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Database skills to analyze and present data in a compelling way to a variety of stakeholders
- Good communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a professional, international working environment
- Datadriven and innovation minded
- Fluent English
