Job Purpose:


To meet and greet all visitors to the Hospital and maintain a professional attitude at all times ensuring the hospital runs smoothly.

To assist all Park Lodge employees with external visitors and/or any concerns. To perform administrative tasks as set out in the requirements below. Must have effective communication skills, exceptional organisational abilities, and knowledge of MS Office.


Main Tasks:


  • To meet and greet all external visitors to the Hospital, welcoming them warmly and directing them to the appropriate person.
  • Maintaining visitor logs and ensuring the Hospital security by checking the identification proof of visitors.
  • To take all incoming phone calls to the Hospital and direct them appropriately, or take messages.
  • Make any travel arrangements for both patients and staff, as and when required.
  • To be responsible for all ordering of stationery and equipment for the Hospital and managing stock inventories.
  • To support with hospital information by updating memos regarding polices and procedures.
  • To ensure that informational posters around the Hospital are kept up to date.
  • Responsible for the petty cash system for both patients and staff, under the Supervision of the Hospital Director.
  • To work alongside and to cover, when appropriate, other administration roles within the Hospital.
  • Any other duties as requested by the Hospital Director.

Qualifications / Skills:


  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at C (4/5) and above is essential.
  • Proven computer literacy skills is essential.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience of working in a Hospital environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work autonomously or part of a team is essential.
  • A willingness to learn new skills and support service developments is essential.
  • You will be required to demonstrate sensitivity, an awareness of patients' needs and a commitment to improving the patient experience.

£16,000.00 per year
