We have a fantastic opportunity as a Quality Technical Assistant working a project at Sellafield, with the position to be based at Cockermouth.

In this role you will provide a professional and high-quality document management service; accountable for controlling the receipt, management, and transfer of all Quality information on a project(s), in accordance with the project team, contractor and client requirements.

This is a full-time position.


Responsibilities:


  • Comply with Health and Safety processes to ensure that the safety first and foremost message is visible and alive throughout all activities undertaken.
  • Supporting the Quality Manager with the implementation of the quality management system within the working location. Ensuring consistent use of quality procedures and processes across the PPP Framework. Ensuring business compliance with national & international standards and legislation as applicable, for example ISO 900
  • Own, control and manage the project Quality Document Management System(s); managing the flow of information. Including (but not limited to) uploading, downloading drawings/documents, printing, collating, distribution and accurately maintaining all Quality data within the system.
  • As required, provide a professional administration service to support all team members in a time efficient and costeffective way.
  • Provide regular progress reports to the framework Quality Manager document status. Examples being drawings issued, drawing status, RFI/TQ registers, technical submissions status reports etc. All as determined by project or contract requirements.
  • Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality in all aspects of the role, including the safe and secure storage of documentation and drawings, in accordance with company and project requirements.
  • Manage the Lifetime record from compiling the information to maintaining the LTR Tracker and reporting on LTR Progress
  • As part of the project team, contribute to the identification and mitigation of project risks, ensuring that risks in the area of responsibility are quickly identified and communicated to senior management.
  • Work with the Framework Quality Manager to assist with accurate and timely metrics for inclusion in both site progress and financial reporting templates. To include items such as; TQ/RFI status, Technical submittal status, Inspection status, Defect management and nonconformances, Social value/CSR obligations
  • Role model, coach and develop a proactive quality culture, sharing best practice principles, by providing guidance to the Project Managers and Engineers quality department.
  • Works with Quality Engineers to assist the safe and successful completion of the project/area under control within agreed timescales and to meet specification and contract requirements. Assist with the project is closed out and Lifetime Records (LTR) are provided in accordance with the contract. Facilitates rectification of project defects so they are closed out in a timely manner to maintain client relationships and project profitability. Attend all formal LFE sessions on completion of works.
Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of Electronic Document Management Systems and associated processes.
  • GCSE Maths and English C grade or above (or equivalent)
