We support people with learning disabilities across London to live healthy, safe and fulfilling lives, whether they are living independently or share their home with other people.
About the role:
LDN London has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Head of Community Engagement to lead LDN London's work on community engagement.
In the role, you will manage a small team based at our Community Hub in Westminster, develop our strategy and successfully deliver programmes across the community.
The Head of Community Engagement is responsible for creating and delivering strategies that support people with learning disabilities who receive little or no statutory support.
The Hub is a place where people can learn life skills across a range of topics, socialise and become more independent and confident.
As Head of Community Engagement, you and your team will identify gaps in provision, and from this devise a range of community engagement and social prescribing initiatives which support people with learning disabilities to be active.
About you:
- be computer literate
- be able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends as part of the service offer
- have experience working with people with learning disabilities
- have or be willing to work towards qualifications which reflect the service
