The Opportunity:

Hybrid working - Study support - Up to £40k salary - Excellent long-established business

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

Review operating expenditure comparing to budget and rolling averages;
Carry out investigations of any unusual values and provide explanations or adjustments as necessary;
Prepare detailed cost budgets across the business in addition to fullyear forecasts working with cost centre managers;
Present and explain performance to cost centre managers through monthly reviews ensuring an understanding of the financial performance of their area of the business;
Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of month end accruals and provisions, liaising with the business managers to ensure postings are accurate;
Complete month end reviews and accruals where appropriate to ensure an accurate period closure;
Support other members of the Finance Team as and when required with SAP Service Entry Sheet cover, CAPEX assistance, operating expenditure review and analysis, cost per tonne analysis and interrogation; and
Work collaboratively to limit the volume and value of invoices on hold each month

You will be/have:

Strong analytical skills;
Articulate with excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with a range of stakeholders;
A team player with the desire to challenge the norm and support other members of the Finance Team
Able to work with department managers/budget holders
Partqualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
Advanced knowledge of Excel
Comfortable handling large quantities of data, analysing and preparing reports
SAP experience preferred but not essential
