Description
Summary:
We are looking for an Assistant Director of Business Intelligence - Data Strategy to join us in a key leadership role at the Regulator of Social Housing.
This role involves leading a team of dedicated data and BI professionals, ensuring the development and implementation of an effective regulatory data strategy, developing our data infrastructure and expertise in data governance, data insights and data science. The role will ensure delivery of analysis, tools and publications to help inform our expanding role and fulfil the regulator's purpose.Job Description:
In this role, you will take responsibility for ensuring that the Regulator's data architecture, analytical platforms and tools are up to date and that we have a strategic approach to our data, analysis and information needs. You will manage the development of our data architecture, analytical platforms and tools, implementing change where necessary and contributing to the production of key regulatory data publications and analysis.
You will develop and implement an analytical data science strategy, using data science analysis and tools to draw insights from the Regulator's data and external sources and will oversee and improve our current data collection system and processes, working with colleagues to provide quality data and analysis to ensure that regulatory work is data-driven, and that insights are provided.
Responsibilities:
As the successful candidate, you will have a proven track record of delivery in a data architecture and analytics environment, with experience of leading data architecture development programmes from inception to implementation.
You will have experience of delivering within a complex stakeholder environment and will have a track record of leading high-performing data teams. You will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence others, managing relationships with authority and credibility. Experience of leading and delivering analytical projects and publications would be an advantage.General Information:

Location
We operate a hybrid model of working with a mix of office and home working.
This role can be based out of any of RSH's core offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Bristol. Our Manchester office will be relocating during 2024/25, however will remain within the city centre. We offer a range of flexible working arrangements and staff can benefit from working from home for part of their hours. Most roles involve some travel within England between our offices, with some roles also involving onsite visits to social housing providers.
Interviews
Interviews are expected to take place w/c 1st July and will be held via Microsoft Teams.

The salary for this role is a spot salary within the given range, which will normally be the minimum of the range. There is no incremental progression through a pay scale. Annual salary reviews are determined by the government pay award. In addition, when the probation period is successfully completed, a performance related bonus may be awarded, based on appraisal ratings at the end of the qualifying appraisal year.
