Resources for Autism is an orgnisation which provides practical support to autistic individuls and to those who care for them.

We work across all ages and all needs. We do this by provding a safe, fun, inclusive, person-centred service enabling the individual to thrive.

Our work is holisitc and work clossely with families to support, educate and increase their understanding of autism.

We believe everyone can take the next step with the right support.

For over 20 years that is exactly what we have been providing.


From one to one care to social groups and holiday clubs, our practical support helps autistic children and adults and those who love and care for them, live life the way they want to.

Right now, we provide this support to 2000 individuals ever year.

We want to double this number as soon as we can.

This is more than caring day to day.

Become a team leader

As a LEADER of clubs and holiday play schemes, you will be an experienced autism pracitioner.


With our recently launched _
Leader Framework, _our committment to you is to guide you through a robust training, shadowing and development journey to ensure that when you reach the end, you will be confident, happy and motivated in your leader role.

_


You will be adaptable, be a role model to your teams and feedback to your line manager on progress and evaluation of your clubs.


Our vacancies for this role at the moment are for Saturday clubs and for the holiday play schemes we run throughout the year.


Your main duties will be:

  • Lead group activites and sessions, including planning and monitoring
  • Demonstrate the RfA values of compassion, empathy, knowledge and inclusion
  • Ensure planning, recording and administration are completed in good time
  • Support and mentor new team members, including volunteers and staff
  • Undertake regular supervision for those you line manageand ensure staff development
  • Carry out risk assessments
  • Form and maintain appropriate professional boundaries with the service users, parents/carers, managers and the team
  • Qualifications: With a minimum of two years of experience of working with autistic children and young, good organsiational skills and knowledge of issues surrounding safeguarding, health and safety and risk assessments. _


The role will be offered on the basis of a receiving a satisfactoy set of references and enhanced DBS check.
