Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Youth Worker.

This role involves providing regular accredited and non-accredited activity sessions and programs designed to support and enhance the life chances, well-being, and personal development of children aged 8-12 years in Sevenoaks and the surrounding areas.


Responsibilities:


  • Plan and deliver a range of engaging and ageappropriate activity sessions and programs for children aged 812 years
  • Create a safe and inclusive environment that fosters positive relationships, personal growth, and development
  • Support and encourage children to explore their interests, build resilience, and develop essential life skills
  • Collaborate with other professionals and organizations to provide a comprehensive and holistic support network for children
  • Assist in the assessment and evaluation of program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements
  • Provide guidance and support to children, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise
  • Act as a positive role model, promoting positive behavior and values
  • Ensure all activities are delivered in accordance with health and safety regulations and safeguarding policies
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievements of the children
  • Establish effective communication channels with parents/guardians, providing regular updates and feedback on their child's participation and progress

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working with children aged 812 years, preferably in a youth work or similar setting
  • Passion for supporting the wellbeing and development of children, with an understanding of the challenges they may face
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents/guardians
  • Ability to plan, organize, and deliver engaging activity sessions and programs
  • Knowledge of relevant accreditation frameworks and the ability to support children in achieving recognized qualifications
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and the ability to promote a safe and inclusive environment
  • Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends as required
  • A commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
