Immediate start available for a Website Officer, based in Inverness or Kirkwall offices.

The website officer will work as part of the web team to assist in the development and delivery of organisation's web presence.

Post is full time hours, 35 hours per week with an excellent benefits package.

THE POSITION

The web officer is part of a team who together manage a web content management system, search videography, a shared design approach for multiple websites, CMS training and web analytics.

This team works closely with colleagues in the wider communications team with opportunity to get involved in projects and be part of an internal consultancy service supporting 12 websites.

This diverse role can touch on any of the following areas and more accessibility, usability, design, HTML and CSS, client
- and server-side script, databases, authentication, analytics, user-testing, data protection, copyright, consumer legislation, training, helpdesk call management.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

Qualifications of skills and experience at SCQF Level 8 or 9(e.g. HND or degree in multimedia, computing science or equivalent).
Usercentric design approaches Standards compliant HTML, CSS, JavaScript Coding languages and database technologies are essential part of the role.
Ability to manage daytoday workload independently while working as part of team
Strong written English and verbal communication skills

Salary, open and transparent with negotiation on start point between circa £26K £31K pa.
Above average annual leave entitlement which is equivalent to 39 days per annum and 7day close period over Christmas and New Year period.
Full time hours are 9am 5pm with one hour for lunch with flexibility offered out with these hours if required.
