As Accounts & Audit Manager you will report directly to the Partners and will manage the Accounts and Audit team but with the opportunity to work for with a diverse portfolio of clients so you can also remain involved in accounts and audit work.

As this is a Manager level role you will need to use your supervising and organisational skills to ensure that workflows are managed and that deadlines are met.


As Accounts & Audit manager you will:

  • Provide visible leadership within the practice to support the growth of the firm
  • Organise and manage work flow for the Accounts/Audit team ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Review and monitor work closely.
  • Work closely with bookkeeping manager and their team.
  • Manage staff time sheets and delegation of work throughout the team.
  • Assess and recommend improvements to systems and procedures to deliver excellent client service.
  • Provide highest level of service and advisory support to our clients.
  • Assist in accounts preparation, management accounts and management of audit and build strong client relationships.
  • Be involved in apprenticeship development reviews with college for AAT/ACCA/ICAEW and identifying staff training needs.

In order to be considered you will be a qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA) with at least 5 years' experience in Accountancy Practice - ideally with some time spent managing or supervising a team.

You will have strong technical knowledge around Accounts andAudit and will be confident in dealing with clients and managing relationships.
