Due to our continued growth and success, a new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a UX Designer/ Developer to join our exceptional IT Development team.
Our team design and build a range of digital services, from automated legal assistants to user-driven risk assessment tools.
Working alongside designers and developers with a broad spectrum of skills, you'll help to define, streamline and improve how our customers interact with our growing portfolio of digital client solutions.
Within this role, your duties will include:
Improving and refining our users' journeys and interactions across our digital platform.
- Translating business and user requirements into user flows, journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes, supporting user testing and iterating designs based on the results.
- Collaborating with other parts of the company to define new features, and how users interact with these.
- Understanding different user types and analysing their needs, including accessibility and assisted digital needs.
- Sketching, prototyping and presenting your ideas to both technical and nontechnical teams for discussion.
- Working closely with the rest of the development team to solve multilayered problems and increase the capabilities of our platform.
- Promoting a usercentric, accessible approach to design in order to generate positive user experiences.
About you:
A solid portfolio demonstrating commercial digital design experience across a range of products.
- Good understanding of best practice and responsive design principles, on both the web and mobile.
- Proactive, innovative and inquisitive approach to problem solving with the capability to spot weak areas within existing systems and work on ways to improve and simplify these.
- Appropriate experience with Adobe suite, Figma, Invision or similar tools to produce a range of visuals from lofi wireframes to more detailed mockups.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication.
- The ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders, along with the ability to persuasively argue important points.
- Experience with agile project methodology, in agile project teams and as part of multistream change programmes.
- Familiarity with front end development tools, such as React.
- Some experience working with trusted external user groups to gather and organise feedback.
