About the Role


We are looking for a Purchasing Administrator to provide comprehensive and professional administrative support to the Procurement Lead and key stakeholders.

You will be required to control the internal procurement process and ensure efficient stock control. In addition you will have responsibility for the daily purchasing administration and WASP Inventory Management system maintenance


Responsibilities:


  • Process daily purchase requests in a timely manner in line with overall business priorities
  • WASP system maintenance and updates
  • Ensure order specification is correctly understood before raising orders
  • Liaise with staff to ensure a free flow of information about expected goods
  • Specification and pricing queries
  • Liaise with suppliers about upcoming deliveries and chase outstanding orders
  • Daily spreadsheet maintenance
  • Assisting to help develop the existing purchasing system and function
  • Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Checking incoming paperwork (correspondence, invoices, order confirmations) and filing accordingly.
  • Maintaining Import control register in line with company procedures and ensure all correct documentation is in place.
  • Assisting with all front of house duties including but not limited to greeting visitors and supporting the wider team in maintaining great Customer relationships.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Perform other related duties as required

About You

Qualifications:


  • GCSE or equivalent Maths & English (A-C)
Skills and experience

  • Previous administrative experience in the workplace
  • Multi task and deliver under pressure
  • Team player who is capable of working autonomously
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • A professional and proactive approach
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills in particular Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Great attention to detail, combined with excellent organisational skills and a passion for accuracy
