Location:
Thurrock

Working Hours: 8.30 am to 5.00 pm OR 9.00 am to 5.30 pm, 1 hour lunch, Monday to Friday

37.5 hours per week. Some flexibility on these hours may be required.

Contract Type Options:
Fixed Term until Dec 2023

Salary Band: 21k to 26k


What are we looking for?


TCHC is looking for passionate individual to support our OnTrack participants by preparing these individuals to become 'job ready' through effective Employability Skills with a quality CV, excellent presentation and interviewing skills and training sessions.

Build confidence and motivation and support individuals in overcoming their barriers into Employment, Kickstart, Traineeships and Apprenticeships.


Qualifications:


  • NVQ in Advice and Guidance (Willing to work towards), Essential
  • PTLLS, Certificate of Education or PGCE qualification (Willing to work towards), Essential
  • TAQA (Willing to work towards), Desirable

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of clients, through a journey from start to employment, training or education.
  • Presenting the TCHC offer to employers and clients who have requested support from the programme
  • Interviewing clients on a onetoone basis, on a facetoface basis, via the telephone or Microsoft Team, or any other online platforms were applicable
  • Have an ongoing relationship with local JCP to match vacancies to your client caseload
  • Working in conjunction with the NEETS Study Programme
  • Providing information, advice, and guidance about a range of issues, such as careers, education, equal opportunities and referring clients to specialist agencies as appropriate to their needs
  • Working with Individuals, to draw up Individual Learning Plans as appropriate to their needs, with regards to future employment, training and education and supporting them to achieve these goals through regular reviews
  • To implement and support delivery programmes in accordance with contracts
  • Building a base of signpost agencies for individuals to access further support where necessary
  • Researching careers, options and support organisations to meet individual's needs
  • Delivering a menu of group sessions including Employability Skills, such as CV writing, Interview Techniques and Job searching skills, Confidence building, ICT, social media, Networking, Team working etc to enhance an individual's prospects of sustained employment which you will be expected to deliver
  • Marking of learner workbooks and ensuring planned end dates are met
  • Work closely with the Employer Engagement and Recruitment team to support you get the required outcomes for your caseload
  • Building relationships with local employers and JCP to support clients into roles
  • Attend and generate opportunities through marketing and promotional events
  • Reviewing your client caseload weekly, agreeing further actions
  • Using computeraided guidance packages and skills assessment tools
  • Keeping up to date with labour market information, legislation, and professional and academic developments by visiting employers, training providers and training events run by educational and professional bodies
  • Completion of audit compliant paperwork
  • Responsible for ensuring processes, protocols and administration is in place to deliver successful audits both internal and external
  • Work alongside Marketing and the Project Manager to develop and collect case studies to support future work
  • Recording statistical data and producing progress reports weekly for TCHC Managers
