    Legal Counsel (Energy Investment) - London/Leeds

    Are you a transactional lawyer with a keen interest in the energy sector interested in making a move in-house? This role would also suit a junior legal counsel wanting to take the next step in their career? This role is flexible to be based in either the companies office in Leeds or London.

    Hunter Savage is currently partnering with a global energy investment company to recruit two legal counsel's into their growing in-house legal team. Our client is interested in a commercially astute lawyer with experience in the UK's power and/or infrastructure markets who is keen to fast track their career in this dynamic and fast paced company.

    The legal counsel will be required to provide commercial legal advice across the global business and this role plays a key part in the provision of high quality, business focused legal and risk advice. Working with the senior leadership teams across commercial, finance and technical you will advise on a wide range of projects, matters and transactions to include development and construction projects, the acquisition of any new assets, the optimisation and ongoing existing assets, advising on the whole life cycle of renewable and conventional energy projects, energy regulation, any relevant commercial contracts.

    The Person

    Ideally you will meet the following criteria

    Qualified Solicitor - 3 to 5 years PQE

    PQE gained in a leading law firm in either energy/construction/projects or general commercial

    Knowledge of the UK's power and/or infrastructure projects

    Excellent drafting, negotiating, communication and presentation skills

    Excellent commercial instincts and an ability to understand and manage risk

    Sense of ownership and accountability

    Self-motivated individual thriving in a dynamic working environment
