We are an SME (Small Medium Enterprise) that are key suppliers to some truly global customers.

We are constantly looking to continually improve our processes and conditions so we can be our customers supplier of choice over the coming years.

We can only achieve this with the support and input of our production team feeding into the site leadership team.

If you think this could be for you, a re-structuring of the existing team has led to the need for an additional member to support our increasing order book.

We are looking for an organised, self-motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Gas Cutting machine Operator.

The role will predominantly involve,

Training in the operation of our Gas profile cutting machine throughout the night shift.
Loading of steel plates on to the machine bed using an overhead crane.
Unloading completed components to pallets either by hand or overhead crane.
Monitoring the quality of completed components after they are cut.
Changing of the machines consumable components as and when required.
Maintaining and improving housekeeping in the working area.
Be physically fit.
Have a good eye for detail.
Be able to take instruction.

Hours of work are:
Monday to Thursday & 07:00 - 11:00 Friday for a period of 1 month training.

Then 13:00 22:30 Monday to Thursday for a period of 2 weeks to allow for additional support from day shift.

You will then move to the night shift period.

18:00 06:00 Monday Wednesday night,
18:00 23:30 Thursday night (40 hours total).
Overtime available
Lunch break 30 mins unpaid
Free tea & coffee.

Training will be provided where required.

Salary:
£10.50 per hour rising to £14 per hour
(inclusive of night shift premium).
