The Role
Nigel Wright are exclusively supporting an engineering business in Middlesbrough with their search for a Technical Administrator.

Reporting into the Commercial Manager,the role will incorporate the following duties:


  • Preparing customer enquiry and contract files.
  • Assist in preparation of contracts for review.
  • Raising and reviewing of purchase orders for the purchase of goods and services.
  • Process receipt of purchase orders
  • Chase invoice authorisation
  • Process daily invoices on Sage Accounting System
  • Follow up with suppliers and internally to resolve issues to allow prompt release of invoice for payment
  • Unblock invoices on Sage when queries and approvals have been made
  • Administration of measuring equipment
  • Administer receipt of completed Inspection reports for storage
  • Coordination of subcontract activities.
  • Data gathering, entry and reporting.
  • Other administration tasks to support company requirements.

Essential Criteria:


  • To be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Technically capable of understanding customer documentation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Reliable, responsible with strong customer service and excellent people and relationship management
  • Highly adaptable, quick to pick up new skills with ability to manage work in a timely manner in time pressured situations
  • Can do attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Good ICT skills
  • Data driven
