The client

Nigel Wright is thrilled to be partnering with this North East business on the hire of their Communications Manager; the role will work closely with the Director of Marketing in order to help improve the lives of thousands of people.

The role
Managing the Communications team, and reporting into the Director of Marketing, you will lead communication messages externally and internally. You will ideally have a background in journalism and media and feel confident dealing with media enquiries at alllevels.
You will protect and promote the brand and reputation of the business in line with the business strategy.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide marketing and communications advice and guidance across the business
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing and communications platforms using brand guidelines and content style guide
  • Keep informed of developments and best practice in the fields of marketing and communications and where beneficial, implement in the business
  • Evaluate communication's activities and their ROI
  • Manage and oversea a team, making sure workloads are allocated and media are responded to quickly
  • Work collaboratively with all areas of the business; develop and maintain relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders

About you

  • Strong copywriting skills (long form or short form) with an unwavering attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Awareness and knowledge of all digital communications and marketing channels
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to plan and coordinate different workstreams to meet deadlines and workload is effectively managed across the team
  • Effective leadership skills, with the ability to set objectives, coach and mentor their team
