Brushstrokes Community Project is an award-winning project delivered through Father Hudson's Care, founded in partnership with the Infant Jesus Sisters, Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd Sisters and the parish of St Philip Neri, Smethwick.

The project is well established with a proven track record in supporting refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in Sandwell and surrounding areas.


Brushstrokes is working with the Refugee and Migrant Centre (RMC) to deliver health and wellbeing support to refugees who have been resettled in Birmingham.

The service will promote positive mental health and wellbeing, ensure refugees and are able to access and understand local health service provision and develop activities address the wider determinants of health and health inequalities that affect vulnerable migrants within an Inclusion Health approach.

Brushstrokes is looking for a part time digital skills adviser to join our team.

Working as part of our employment and digital skills team you will provide 1-2-1 and group support to individuals who wish to develop their digital skills as a route, building confidence and helping them to move towards employment, education and training.


You will be someone who has an understanding of the needs of refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants and experience of working in a community setting.

You will have experience of delivering training and support to individuals to develop digital skills, strong organisational skills combined with your IT and record keeping skills will ensure the smooth delivery of this service to refugees in Sandwell.
