Job Location:
Brighton; during training office based, thereafter hybrid working one day a month

12 month fixed term contract

You'll be joining a business that is expanding, cares about the community and the environment.

You will get a 9% pension as standard, increasing to 13% company max contribution (plus your 4% = a 17% pension).

Role Value Proposition:

This is a great position for someone who has a keen eye for detail and would like to develop into an Underwriter within MetLife and work closely with Sales and our Operations Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Day to day preparation and processing of quotations, proactively managing the work volumes of these to stay within service level agreements.
Liaising with other internal departments within Sales & Operations as and when required.
Completion of other, similar processes to support the overall team delivery

Essential Business Experience and technical skills

Required:

Prior employment in the Insurance sector (any experience considered)
An excellent eye for detail with high accuracy levels
Strong organisational skills with
Good communicator both in writing and verbally, comfortable in contacting customers over the phone.
Strong educational grade for English and Mathematics
Team Player with at least three years' experience within the financial services industry

Preferred:

Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Keen to learn and proactively develop themselves.
Enthusiastic and flexible.
