Ferns Surfacing Ltd are currently recruiting for Reinstatement Supervisor to join our busy and friendly team.

The position will be based in our Pitsea Depot in Essex, but will require you to travel to other locations.

Overall Purpose of Job:

Reporting to the Project Manager, the purpose of this role is to always act as a company ambassador, demonstrating and delivering the Ferns Vision & Values, and always uphold the company's good reputation.

To manage, monitor and resource the element of works under your control to maximise output and profit whilst minimising costs, whilst ensuring compliance with all Company policies, procedures, and legislation.

To maintain a safe working environment in compliance with all current Legislation, maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensuring full compliance with current legislation, and relevant specifications are achieved by you and all teams under your control and all Ferns policies & procedures are adhered.
Always ensure effective management of the work teams, and workloads.
Assist, where required with all Customer issues, and ensure these are handled in line with company policy/procedures.
Ensure all work under your control is delivered in line with Contractual agreements/specifications and agreed KPI's.
Ensuring all information submissions are of a high standard (Daily Work Sheets, Swims data collection etc).
Ensure all required Toolbox Talks, and Daily Briefings etc are delivered to operations staff when required and ensure records of delivery are maintained.
Ensure regular inspections of all company vehicles under your control are completed with any defects reported in line with company procedure and are kept clean and tidy always.
Ensure a close working relationship is achieved with all members of the team to ensure work is delivered effectively to company, and client requirements.
Ensure you promote the use of Hazard Alerting & Near Misses and how to report these.
Carry out Audits as required, and ensure all corrective actions are dealt with in a timely manner.

Experience:

Proven experience, and knowledge of the reinstatement / Highways industry
Experience of managing diverse operational teams
Experience of working on sites and in an office environment

Skills and Abilities:

People manager with good delegation skills.
Good written, and verbal communication skills
Good knowledge of MS Excel and Word
Able to work to deadlines, within a busy environment.
Team player who can work collaboratively with others regardless of their level or position.
