Job purpose:


The post holder is responsible for providing pastoral and well-being support to employees in conjunction with working with line managers to develop, engage and retain their team members with the use of individual training plans and CPD activities.


Key Responsibilities:


  • To act as the first point of contact for all employees in relation to wellbeing support, advice and guidance ensuring all staff are contacted on a monthly basis.
  • To be responsible for monitoring employee wellbeing keeping a confidential record and tracking activity on a month by month basis.
  • To provide confidential, impartial advice to employees and work closely with the HR Team in highlighting any individual areas of concern.
  • To identify initiatives to improve staff morale, engagement and wellbeing overall.
  • To source CPD activities and work closely with line managers and employees in identifying the individual employee career path to maximise engagement.
  • To work closely with Team Leaders in identifying training courses of benefit for overall team engagement and activity.
  • To have overall responsibility for all CPD activity ensuring all inhouse records are kept up to date and reports generated when requested.
  • To provide support and guidance to line managers during staff development and appraisal meetings ensuring relevant training opportunities are identified and are of benefit to the individual employee career path.
  • To assist line managers during staff assessment activities including; peer observation reviews, class observation reviews etc ensuring assessments are documented and maintained in accordance with College procedure.
  • To actively promote the College commitment to equality and diversity within the workplace.

Person Specification:


  • Proven experience of providing inhouse confidential support to employees with particular emphasis on individual wellbeing.
  • Discretion and high integrity in dealing with all people and situations.
  • Confident communication skills.
  • Excellent organisation, time management and planning skills, able to deliver within a fast paced environment.
  • Be approachable and resilient.
  • Previous experience in sourcing CPD activities or providing solutions to training needs.
  • Be enthusiastic and assertive.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Ideally CIPD qualified with emphasis on learning and development activities.

Salary:
£28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
