Accounts Payable Analyst - Mayfair, United Kingdom - Absolute Recruit
Description
One of the world's largest alternative asset managers with several hundred billion dollars of assets under management are seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to join a small London team.
You will need to come from a high volume processing environment as you will be overseeing invoices a month processed by an outsourced team, making corrections as necessary.
Whilst a Financial Services background is an advantage it is not essential, but being from a large, global corporate is required.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the European procurement process working with both internal and external stakeholders
- Supplier management (onboarding, contract management, maintaining settlement instructions etc)
- Ensure invoices are coded, approved and paid correctly
- Monitoring requisition and purchase order processes
- Identification of any AP related issues and posting journals to correct the same
- Oversight of team communications with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure strong customer satisfaction and maintenance of strong working relationships
- Supervision of monthly closure of all European Accounts Payable modules, and completion of associated reconciliations.
Corporate Accounting responsibilities:
- Maintaining the books and records of EMEA corporate entities and any other relevant entities for monthly group reporting
- Monitor and clear EMEA control accounts
- Preparation of monthly prepayment journals for UK operating entities
- Preparation of monthly supplier accrual journals
- Adhoc project work and support to team including cross training with colleagues to ensure thorough understanding of tasks and responsibilities
Qualifications and Experience:
- University Degree in Accounting (degree in Economics or Finance will be considered), part qualified accountant preferred
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in similar sized function mainly with experience of the accounts payable function working within a Finance team preferred
- Good communication (oral and written), team player, organisation skills
- Great attention to details and accountable for delivery
