    The Role:

    Join us as a Senior Software Engineer in our CPO team, driving innovation in our business-critical engineering projects at Shawbrook, the forefront of fintech banking.

    You will be working on exciting greenfield initiatives to advance existing systems, with an emphasis on integrating diverse systems in our Enterprise area.

    This role offers a chance for a skilled engineer to deepen their domain expertise in banking and collaborate with a dynamic team of engineers, using Agile methodologies to provide continuous system improvements and deliver new features, enhancements, and functionality.

    You'll be an advocate for best in class engineering standards and maintain a strong focus on product delivery, you'll have the chance to make your mark right away as we undergo pivotal, impactful work with truly diverse opportunities to support your development.


    Responsibilities:


    What you'll do...Work as part of an Agile product team to further our product delivery objectives, creating simple, clean and well documented code.

    Work with the QA team, to help create automated tests to ensure the quality of the software.

    Participate in backlog refinement sessions to understand business requirements and take responsibility for implementing the most appropriate solutionUtilise engineering best practices and design principles, bearing in mind non-functional requirements around performance and security.

    Work with the support team to assist with deployments and monitoring of services in production.

    Document details of system amendments / enhancements in both your code comments and our online documentation systemThe PersonWhat you'll need....NET 5/6 /.NET core- You will use .NET and C# to build out the back end that feeds through to the front-end presentation layers.

    Cloud Experience (ideally Azure)- You will need a solid understanding of cloud fundamentals for the wider migration to the cloud as part of our technical transformation.

    SQL- You will need experience with data, both front and back end, to run queries, pull data back, build new tables, index tables.

    Microservices- You will use microservice technology to build our systems using modern design to drive scalability and efficiency.

    Engineering best practice- You will need familiarity with concepts such as DTO / TDD / Unit Testing and SOLID principals to drive high quality coding practices.

    Any experience of working with Salesforce integrations in the past would also be beneficial.
