BAM Construct & Ventures UK is recruiting is recruiting an HR Administrator to join the HR team in our Head Office, Hemel Hempstead on a 6 month Fixed Term contract.

This role will involve a mixture of working from home and from our offices in Hemel Hempstead. BAM operates a flexible working policy.


Your mission
Responsible for general HR administration, you will play an important role in our central HR Administration team.


Primarily you will focus on:

  • Preparing staff offers /joining/leavers/ salary changes / promotion & reference letters
  • Administering the onboarding process and issuing offer and joiner packs to new starters
  • Processing new starters, leavers and transfers in the HR system (Success Factors)
  • Completing administrative tasks associated with maternity, paternity, shared parental and adoption leave
  • Recording sickness absence on the HR system, processing unpaid leave requests and produce absence related letters
  • Processing company vehicle fine deductions and letters
  • Providing information to payroll in a timely manner
  • Checking new starters and leavers have been enrolled / lapsed / amended on the learning and private medical insurance portals, and have completed preplacement medical questionnaire
  • Updating benefit providers (BUPA & Pension) with address changes
  • Support with the annual BUPA private medical health renewal and updating the BUPA database
  • Support with large administrative exercises and mail merge activity throughout the year
  • Cheque requisitions for travel & eyecare
  • Act as first point of contact for employees and managers on company policy and selfservice queries
  • Scanning & Livelink filing
  • Other general HR admin tasks

Who are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in an HR Administration role
  • Good organisation and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail in your work
  • A willingness to take on additional responsibility when required and be looking to develop your career in a HR Administration environment
