    Role Description

    About the position:

    Princes Bradford is our largest drinks manufacturing site in the UK producing 26 million cases of Dilute and Carbonated drinks per year for own label retail sale and for well-known brands. We are now excited to confirm that we have established a partnership with Capri-Sun which will bring the production of the iconic and much loved brand, Capri-Sun, home to our Bradford site. Initial production on 2 lines commences in October 2024 and on full completion in March 2025 there will be 4 production lines, each capable of 8,000 pouches per hour operating 365 days per year from our bespoke unit. The Capri Sun Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for the successful implementation, operation, and management of the Capri Sun project at the Bradford site. This role entails overseeing all aspects of the project, building and leading high-performing teams, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining strong customer relationships. You'll work closely with the Factory General Manager, Senior Princes Management Team, Site Senior Leadership to design and implement the manufacturing vision and strategy for Capri Sun. Benefits:

    Working Hours:
    This is an onsite Monday to Friday position. Flexibility will be required for business needs. Roles and Responsibilities:
    • Lead the implementation of the Capri Sun project from commissioning to post-launch, ensuring successful delivery in terms of time, cost, safety, delivery, people, and quality.
    • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement manufacturing vision, strategy, and organisational design, including reporting structures, roles, responsibilities, and training plans.
    • Execute the 'people plan' to recruit, train, and develop skilled colleagues, aligning with Princes values and culture.
    • Drive operational excellence, including the implementation of MES and IT solutions, to establish them as integral to plant operations.
    • Manage the project according to agreed MTM/KPI criteria, ensuring objectives are met efficiently.
    Phase 1:
    Capri Sun Project Implementation (Commission/Learning Curve/Launch)
    • Lead the recruitment, training, and commissioning of key personnel across Production, Engineering, Technical, Hygiene, and Planning.
    • Manage a budget of approximately £1.4M for training and recruitment.
    • Oversee the operational delivery of the £13.5M project.
    • Implement cultural change plan for the Capri Sun Line and Operational Organisational Design Architecture, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
    • Ensure excellent communications with factory stakeholders and external parties.
    • Deliver Operational Excellence plans to establish them as integral to plant operations.
    • Successfully deliver the project according to the agreed MTM/KPI criteria.
    Phase 2:
    • Manage the day-to-day operation of the first 2 lines installed, with ongoing planning for subsequent lines.
    • Ensure health, safety, environmental, and hygiene standards are maintained within manufacturing operations.
    • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team to meet objectives and deliver continuous improvements.
    • Maintain systems and controls to ensure the consistent delivery of "right first time" production.
    • Deliver budgeted targets and effectively achieve manufacturing KPIs.
    • Efficiently manage all resources within manufacturing while identifying and reducing waste.
    • Develop and execute improvement plans covering all operational KPIs.
    • Ensure manufacturing data is accurate, recorded appropriately, and reported in a timely manner.
    • Maintain a good working relationship with other members of the Bradford SLT and internal/external stakeholders.
    • Manage and lead the team with HR support, including recruitment, training, development, appraisal, attendance, and disciplinary issues.
    • Strengthen the manufacturing organization by demonstrating strong leadership, effective recruitment and selection, objective setting, competency development, and organization development.
    • Lead the delivery of the Operational Excellence framework for manufacturing.
    • Lead and support improvement projects and capital investment projects.
    • Act as the site expert on Capri Sun production to both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain a culture that visibly upholds the Princes values in terms of culture and behaviours.
