Overview
Responsibilities of the Logistics Supervisor
- Lead and supervise a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a highperforming and motivated workforce.
- Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfilment, and shipping, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
- Utilise SAP software and related tools to manage inventory control, order processing, and logistics operations efficiently.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, such as procurement, production, and customer service, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment and delivery.
- Monitor and optimise warehouse layout, space utilisation, and storage systems to maximise operational efficiency and inventory accuracy.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain a smooth workflow, minimise errors, and improve overall productivity.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Identify areas for process improvement, develop action plans, and implement changes to enhance warehouse efficiency and costeffectiveness.
- Generate reports and provide data analysis on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations, including inventory levels, order accuracy, and shipping/receiving efficiency.
- Foster a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting proper equipment usage, and conducting regular safety training.
Requirements of the Logistics Supervisor
- Tier 1 Automotive experience
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader in a fastpaced warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge and handson experience with SAP or other warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control, order processing, and logistics management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, with a focus on process improvement and optimisation.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfilment, and shipping/receiving processes.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with data analysis and reporting.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and provide clear instructions to warehouse associates.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices within a warehouse setting.
