Overview

Responsibilities of the Logistics Supervisor

Lead and supervise a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a highperforming and motivated workforce.
Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfilment, and shipping, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
Utilise SAP software and related tools to manage inventory control, order processing, and logistics operations efficiently.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, such as procurement, production, and customer service, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment and delivery.
Monitor and optimise warehouse layout, space utilisation, and storage systems to maximise operational efficiency and inventory accuracy.
Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain a smooth workflow, minimise errors, and improve overall productivity.
Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Identify areas for process improvement, develop action plans, and implement changes to enhance warehouse efficiency and costeffectiveness.
Generate reports and provide data analysis on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations, including inventory levels, order accuracy, and shipping/receiving efficiency.
Foster a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting proper equipment usage, and conducting regular safety training.

Requirements of the Logistics Supervisor

Tier 1 Automotive experience
Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader in a fastpaced warehouse environment.
Strong knowledge and handson experience with SAP or other warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control, order processing, and logistics management.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, with a focus on process improvement and optimisation.
Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfilment, and shipping/receiving processes.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with data analysis and reporting.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and provide clear instructions to warehouse associates.
Knowledge of safety regulations and practices within a warehouse setting.
