Overview

Responsibilities of the Logistics Supervisor

  • Lead and supervise a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a highperforming and motivated workforce.
  • Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfilment, and shipping, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Utilise SAP software and related tools to manage inventory control, order processing, and logistics operations efficiently.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, such as procurement, production, and customer service, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment and delivery.
  • Monitor and optimise warehouse layout, space utilisation, and storage systems to maximise operational efficiency and inventory accuracy.
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain a smooth workflow, minimise errors, and improve overall productivity.
  • Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Identify areas for process improvement, develop action plans, and implement changes to enhance warehouse efficiency and costeffectiveness.
  • Generate reports and provide data analysis on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations, including inventory levels, order accuracy, and shipping/receiving efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting proper equipment usage, and conducting regular safety training.

Requirements of the Logistics Supervisor

  • Tier 1 Automotive experience
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader in a fastpaced warehouse environment.
  • Strong knowledge and handson experience with SAP or other warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control, order processing, and logistics management.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities, with a focus on process improvement and optimisation.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfilment, and shipping/receiving processes.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with data analysis and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and provide clear instructions to warehouse associates.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices within a warehouse setting.
