Merchant Supplies is one of Grab's latest innovations where we are helping our Food merchants to get access to cheaper food ingredients, both fresh and non-fresh.

The team is currently filled with 10 people and plans to grow.

We have a startup founder attitude and operate like a startup inside a startup Being an early member of the team, you will help us to set up project expansion to big cities across Indonesia and will report directly to the Head of Sales of Merchant Supplies.

Get to know the Role


We are looking to hire an experienced Sales Lead to maintain solid relationships with Grab's key clients (Key Account Management) and meet revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative.

The Sales Lead's responsibilities include growing the company's revenue by ensuring our key clients are satisfied with our services, able to develop relationships with potential clients, and crafting the sales plans / proposals.


To be successful as a Sales Lead, you should be able to analyze data and sales statistics and improve business strategies.

Ultimately, an exceptional Sales Lead should be able to manage multiple key accounts without compromising on the quality of services provided.


The Day-to-Day Activities:


  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team and solid relationships with key clients
  • Developing and sustaining solid relationships strategy with key clients that bring in the most revenue for the company.
  • Developing a thorough understanding of key clients' needs and requirements and preparing customized solutions / proposals.
  • Communicating and collaborating with the operations, merchandising, marketing departments to ensure that key clients' needs are met.
  • Regularly evaluate sales performance and able to present sales & revenue reports to the management team

The Must-Haves:


  • Minimum 3+ years experience in Sales and Key account management and consistently meeting or exceeding targets (experienced in B2B food industry are preferable)
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing or related field.
  • The ability to build rapport with key clients and to handle multiple client accounts.
  • Strong negotiation and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
