Purchasing Assistant - Loughborough, United Kingdom - Adey Steel
Description
Adey Steel, one of the UK's leading independent, family-owned specialist steel fabricators, is rapidly expanding and to support our growth we require a Purchasing Assistant to join the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with purchase requests from production and requisitions from internal departments across Adey Steel (and the wider Adey Steel Group)
- Liaising effectively with suppliers and manufacturers to establish and maintain effective relationships
- Assist with the hiring of products and equipment for site operations and under the guidance of the buyers acquire best price for relevant suppliers
- Obtaining and filing of Test certificates, collating, and issuing when requested for specific job requirements
Key Requirements
- Proficient in Excel and good working knowledge of other basic Microsoft packages.
- Ability to work to targets and deadlines with excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and negotiating skills
