Description
Do you have an understanding of Structural steelwork sections, bars, plates, etc.?
Do you have commercial steel buying experience gained within an engineering or steelwork environment?
If you have we would like to hear from you.
We are looking for a buyer with structural steel purchasing experience to join our busy buying team.

You will be handling requests for goods, materials, and services from across the Adey Steel Group, to assist with the ever-increasing demand for our Structural and Architectural fabrication services and maintaining supplies for our support functions across the business.

Inputting information on to our management systems and working closely with suppliers to establish and maintain effective relationships, monitor market trends, and improve operational efficiencies, procuring goods in line with specified costs, quality and delivery targets.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • 1 yr's experience of Steel section purchasing
  • Good communication and negotiating skills
  • Working knowledge of IT skills, including strong Excel skills
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Hours of work: 39 per week
Monday - Thursday , Friday
