Description
We are looking to recruit a Tekla Draughtsperson to bring their expertise to support our structural and architectural divisions.


You will be part of a team working closely with our Contract Managers, playing a key role in translating design requirement into fabrication drawings, 3D modelling and information packs, to enable the successnufacture and installation of structural and architectural steel projects ensuring the end product meets our high standards.

This is a varied and extremely interesting role which will appeal to a highly motivated individual who is enthusiastic about developing their skills working on a diverse range of both new and retro fit structural and architectural steel projects.


The role will include:

  • Using Tekla to model structures from engineer's designs and general arrangement drawings.
  • Adding connections as detailed in the Engineers calculations.
  • Generating drawings and exporting to other formats.
  • Creating CNC data for production.
  • Collaboration with third parties (Clients, Architects, Engineers)
  • Detailing both fabrication and prep drawings for a variety of both structural & architectural contracts.
  • Producing erection and site work information packs.
  • Working closely with the production team and to ensure the design is suitable in terms of onsite buildability and fabrication.

Personal Requirements:

  • Experience within Structural Steelwork industries preferable
  • Detailed knowledge of interpreting Engineer and Architectural designs.
  • Appreciation of fabrication methods and technologies.
  • Good understanding of the codes and standards used in Steel engineering.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Competent user of Tekla Modelling software package
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

Position:
Full Time

Salary Competitive and dependant on experience.

39 hours per week

Monday to Thursday
